The House Sparrow
What's up with the bird? Well, for the past couple years I have been raising baby birds that fall from their nests at work. They are House Sparrows.

Last summer I raised about 9 of them, this was the last one I raised in September.

As they get older and start to learn to fly, I let them hang around with me to help them exercise. This one flew up to the counter where the tank was one day and decided it was fun to watch the fish. I decided to video one of his viewings.

The birds are free to go whenever they decide they don't need me anymore. I train them to recognize a whistle and they fly back to me whenever they hear it. I can walk around after they leave and call them over to see where they hang out. This one also loved to go for walks in the neighborhood. I used to get some odd looks from the neighbors as I was walking and they realized I had a wild bird hanging around with me. This one stayed the longest, about 2 months before she left. I have not seen her since October.
